We are CMSR-TZ, an organization dedicated to community development in Tanzania. We collaborate with partners both locally and internationally to support underprivileged populations, particularly those in rural areas.
Our focus is on empowering community members, especially women and girls, who are the most at-risk groups. We aim to provide access to essential services such as health, education, water and sanitation, agriculture services, and HIV/AIDS as a cross-cutting component.
To ensure that community development activities are conducted by the entire community to guarantee ownership and sustainability.
CMSR-TZ operates in all over the country in Tanzania Mainlaind works in partnership with local and international organizations, and the government to support the local communities especially the most at risk population in implementing of development activities to achieve poverty allevation.

Partnered with CUAMM, and COPE to improve emergency obstetric and newborn services in 9 health facilities.
Approach: Participatory mentorship, On-the-Job Training (OJT), and joint monthly supervision with MoH and TAMISEMI.
Reducing absenteeism among school girls through peer-to-peer training and WASH infrastructure improvements.
Impact: Preventing Reproductive Tract Infections (RTIs) and improving academic performance for at-risk girls.
Collaborating with the Archdiocese of Mbeya and CMSR Italy (supported by CEI) to establish a sustainable education center.
Direct: 360 Students & 16 Teachers
Indirect: 1,800 Family Members
Distance education support for students facing financial hardship. Includes school fees, materials, and moral support from Italian donors.
Economic empowerment of women through tailoring high-quality Kitenge products, sold internationally in Livorno, Italy.

Scaling horticultural production using power tillers and solar-powered water systems in semi-arid and sub-humid areas.
